Parts Counterman 2nd Shift (12:30 pm to 9 pm) - Pittsburgh

JOB SUMMARY

The Parts Counterman 2nd Shift is responsible for meeting and greeting customers in a professional manner, accurately processing orders in the system, and coordinating to pull product, shipment, or delivery to the technician/customer. The counter person should have heavy duty/medium duty truck parts experience, excellent communication skills, and computer skills. The candidate should be self-motivated and can increase sales.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Possess a strong working knowledge of commercial medium duty and heavy-duty truck parts.
Be an active parts salesperson, with the purpose of fulfilling customer and service technician needs for truck parts and service.
Fill/Deliver retail & shop customer orders from stock, place orders when requested items are out of stock.
Notifies the service advisor when special ordered parts have been received.
Maintain excellent customer service capability and strong communication skills.
Promote current service specials.
Provide management with key customer information.
Meet sales volume and gross profit objectives.
Answer phones, provide price quotes and other information.
Keep work and counter areas clean and uncluttered.

Physical Demands:

Stand, walk, and deliver parts to service counter and service bays within the 6-8 hrs. work shift.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50+ lb. parts to a height of 44inches.
Will be required to reach, climb, twist, crouch, kneel or stoop to retrieve parts from shelves.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

High School Diploma required.
Parts related experience a plus.
Must possess and use good interpersonal skills and can interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.
Must be able to read and write in English, understand computer generated reports, invoices, etc.
Ability to operate various computer systems.
