All eyes are on California’s proposed rules on electric truck sales.

The Advanced Clean Truck Regulation is a first in the US, and would mandate manufacturers sell a certain percentage of zero-emission trucks beginning with the 2024 model year. It’s in discussion now with a final decision expected in 2020.

Mack Trucks is following the action closely. As you likely have seen, Mack is already in development of a fully electric LR for the refuse sector, while Volvo is planning to begin commercial production on a VNR Electric next year.
