JOB SUMMARY

The Parts & Service Advisor is responsible for interacting with customers and technicians in a professional manner, managing priorities and ensuring that all customer’s needs are met. He/she must promote parts and service growth within the location through exceptional customer support and satisfaction.

FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of commercial medium/heavy duty truck service.
  • Implement company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain excellent customer service ability and strong communication skills.
  • Part-time service salesperson with the purpose to fulfill our customer needs.
  • Promote current service specials.
  • Seek and develop new customers for profitable growth.
  • Answer calls and emails from customers.
  • Create work orders, quote and sell parts and mange shop workflow.
  • Manage parts inventory to maintain required stock levels.
  • Meet sales volume and gross profit objectives.
  • Fill/Deliver retail and shop customer orders from stock.
  • Routine costumer visits.
  • Keep work areas clean and uncluttered.
  • Communicate with the customer regarding status of his/her service request (ASIST)
  • Close work orders as they are completed and coordinate payment of services.
  • Maintain communication with customer(s) to ensure work was completed to their satisfaction.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • 2+ years’ Heavy/Medium Duty Truck Dealership experience preferred.
  • Parts experience a plus, Service experience required.
  • Product and market knowledge required.
  • Solid time management and analytical skills are necessary.
  • Strong computer skills highly desired – CDK and Microsoft Office experience a plus.
  • Must possess and use good interpersonal skills and can interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.
